1996 Orville ES-335 Cherry Grinning Dog ’59 Pickups

For Sale: 1996 Orville ES-335 in Cherry

Up for sale is a 1996 Orville ES-335 in Cherry, paired with a non-original hard-shell case. This guitar has been well-played and remains in good condition, functioning flawlessly. It bears the marks of its musical journey, including light scratches and dings throughout, earning it a solid 7.5 out of 10 rating.

One of the standout features of this guitar is its upgraded pickups—a set of Grinning Dog '59 Humbuckers. These boutique Japanese pickups are legendary among musicians, hand-wound by Shinji, the master pickup maker behind Grinning Dog. Designed to perfectly replicate the 1959 PAF sound, these pickups deliver rich overtones, vintage warmth, and incredible articulation.

Aside from the upgraded pickups, everything else on the guitar remains original. It has no cracks, repairs, or structural issues. The neck is straight, and the original frets are in excellent shape, ensuring a smooth, buzz-free playing experience. Recently professionally set up, this ES-335 is ready to deliver outstanding tone and playability.

To provide full transparency, detailed photos of any wear are included—no stock images here. What you see is exactly what you'll receive.
