Gibson Les Paul Recording 1971 - Natural Mahogany (Brown)
Nice and clean 1971 Gibson Les Paul Recording from the „Low-Impedance Series“ all original (besides a changed switch and knobs) and in great condition. There is some minor play wear but overall it’s a super clean guitar. The selector switch was broken and we replaced it with a new switchcraft 3-way. The playability is great with a low adjusted action. Due to an factory built-in Impedance transformer the instrument can be played on any conventional amp as well. This guitar is very resonant and lively – sounds great, also operated as a „normal“ Les Paul. Comes in original black Gibson case.

Why GuitarPoint? Your satisfaction is our top priority, our highest priority. That’s not marketing speak, we mean it. We’re all practicing guitarists ourselves, not only that, we’re crazy guitar nerds and we’re always completely blown away by the instruments we work with. Our claim is nothing less than the best. We want to be better than everyone else.
Buy safely! Especially with our vintage guitars, we go into more detail than most of our competitors. The authentication process takes a long time and we do everything we can to ensure that our instruments are described correctly and are in the best possible condition. This can sometimes take several days. We have an excellent international network and are in constant contact with our reputable colleagues and vintage experts in the industry and regularly discover new, previously unknown details.
As dealers, we have also had our own experiences with competitors and can say from our own experience how we would not want to be treated. All too often, instruments are described incorrectly, things are concealed or not discovered due to a lack of expertise. Good service only becomes apparent when there are negative experiences, anyone can sell!
When it comes to purchasing vintage instruments nothing is more important than knowing your things. A lot can happen in the life of a many decades old instrument. The world-wide-web is full of private sales ads and auctions and many times even the sellers don‘t know every detail of what they offer. Very often the seeming “bargain” turns out to be a bad buy – sometimes years after the purchase. The higher the value, the more contradictions could appear when you take a closer look. This is why we painstakingly analyze all guitars before we buy them to verify their originality and value.
