The Martin D-X2E Billy Strings is a signature dreadnought designed to capture the feel and playability of Billy’s preferred pre-war instruments in a more accessible format. Built with a 25" scale length and slightly wider nut width, it offers reduced string tension and a more relaxed feel, making it well-suited for fast runs, bends, and dynamic flatpicking. The familiar modified low oval neck with standard taper keeps things comfortable whether you’re playing rhythm or lead.
A solid spruce top paired with Brazilian rosewood-patterned HPL back and sides delivers strong projection with a clear, focused response. It maintains the punch and headroom expected from a dreadnought while offering added durability for regular use. Outfitted with Martin E1 electronics and a built-in tuner, this model is ready for stage or practice, making it a practical option for players who want signature-inspired feel without stepping into higher price tiers.
