The Gibson Hummingbird Special brings one of Gibson's most distinctive acoustic guitars into a more affordable range while maintaining the craftsmanship and sound that made it legendary. Handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana, this square-shoulder dreadnought features a solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides, delivering a warm, balanced tone with excellent dynamic range. Traditional scalloped X-bracing enhances projection, making it a versatile choice for any playing style.

This model features a slightly shallower body depth than the Hummingbird Standard, producing a tighter, more controlled bass response that sits well in a mix while also making it easier to hold. The utile neck, joined with a hot hide glue compound dovetail joint, offers a comfortable Round profile for smooth playability. The 12" radius rosewood fingerboard features pearl parallelogram inlays, a signature visual hallmark of the Hummingbird, and is fitted with 20 standard frets.

The traditional belly-up rosewood bridge is equipped with a TUSQ saddle, nut, and bridge pins, ensuring stable intonation and sustain. Grover Rotomatic tuners provide rock-solid tuning stability, and the simplified Hummingbird pickguard graphics maintain the guitar's classic aesthetic. Finished in satin nitrocellulose lacquer, available in Vintage Cherry Sunburst or Wine Red, this guitar looks as good as it sounds.

Equipped with an L.R. Baggs Element Bronze pickup system and an easy-access soundhole-mounted volume control, the Hummingbird Special is stage- and studio-ready. Includes a premium soft-shell case.
