The Case...
This guitar comes in its original Custom Shop case. Inside sleeps the COA and original paperwork - johnny winter slide etc
The Guitar!
Why is this listed as "fair" you ask? It is because it suffers from the "Murphy Lab Aging Flaking" issue. Nearly all of these Winter birds and many other early Murphy Lab guitars have it - the main difference is who is honest in talking about it in their listing. I had two of these and they both did it. Gibson refinished one under warranty (available in a separate listing if you'd prefer it) but they didn't do anything with this one since I got it through artist relations to begin with (is my guess - possible they just forgot about me too - after all, they changed #74 into a SECOND #34 mistakenly during that process haha)
There are 3 or 4 main areas where the finish is peeling up - back of the body behind the toggle switch, the lower bout, along the bottom edge and on the headstock edge. I've KNOWN about the issue for about 3 years now and it hasn't gotten worse, but I can't make any guarantees. The only non-factory aged finish missing spot that has actually flaked off occurred when I was taking photos - a small piece of the bottom edge (shown in last two photos) snapped when I grabbed it. I've saved it in the case for you if you want to ?glue? it back in place. The 90% of the finish feels nice and secure - you can certainly still play this guitar
UNLESS YOU ASK ME NOT TO - I WILL REMOVE THE TUNERS AND STRINGS (AT LEAST THE TOP 3 BEFORE SHIPPING) TO PREVENT HEADSTOCK DAMAGE.
