A stunning example of this ultra Luxe LP rarity, made for only a few precious years at the Turn of the eighties, and featuring Moog active electronics, and every fancified gold bell and whistle in the catalog. What a yacht!
This was Gibson’s flagship Les paul custom, and no expense was spared. She plays like it too; arrow neck, effortless feel, and tone for days. The original pickups are hot, detailed, gritty, and amazing, and she just sings.
Cosmetically, she’s quite lovely as well, with light and natural patina, play wear and mojo; no repairs, or funny business. The finish has aged to a lovely amber hue, and she just glows. Total keeper.
