This 12-string version of the J-45 continues the legacy of the icon of Gibson's Round Shoulder acoustic line today. The popular all-solid round shoulder acoustic Gibson J-45, is considered an absolute classic and was first introduced in 1942. Thanks to its wide dynamic range with warm mids and powerful bass, it still holds the affectionate nickname “workhorse” to this day.

Like the 1940s original, this modern 12-string version features solid mahogany back and sides and a solid Sitka spruce top, with scalloped X-bracing to provide sufficient space for resonance. The rosewood fretboard is adorned with glossy mother-of-pearl dot inlays and the one-piece mahogany neck has a comfortably playable, slim taper neck profile.

The fantastic woods and high-quality workmanship of the Gibson Bozemann workshop, enables a wonderfully warm and exceptionally powerful sound, in which the mids in particular come into their own. The rounded body also provides beautiful projection and a balanced, warm tone with a subtle but dynamic range of colors - ideal for any kind of strumming and picking!
