The Details:

I started having some fader glitches (a common issue with these early generation PreSonus faders), so a few years ago fader banks (1-8), (16-22), (23 to master fader) were all replaced.

While the board was apart, I added two small cooling fans on either side of the console; one pushing air in, and one pulling air out (each fan has its own on/off switch).

The Mac was then upgraded to 4 GB of ram and a new battery installed; any available updates were done at that time.

This working package was then used for FOH sound for about 25 shows (one year) with no issues.

We switched to a smaller footprint PreSonus board so this package has been in storage for the past several years.

When setting it up for this listing, I noticed channel 10 was a bit shaky; was never an issue prior so maybe it just needs cleaned. The ‘talkback’ pot knob is a little bent; took a bump some time back ….works perfectly, so not an issue.

The actual board specs can be found on the PreSonus site archives; console has 10 separate monitor sends (mono) or 5 separate stereo monitor sends for in-ears.   

If looking for a great “turn-key” digital package, this is it.

Control One loads once the FireWire connection is detected; excellent for the RTA analyzer running on the screen to pinpoint monitor or FOH feedback/ringing issues. Can also use Capture to record individual channels, then at a later date, open up in Studio One and re-mix everything.

Fully working complete system; numerous 31 band EQ's, compression, gate, etc.. on every channel, 4 band parametric EQ each channel and subs, tons of routing options and flexibility.
