Get Classic Oberheim Sound Made Portable with the Sequential OB-6 Desktop Polyphonic Analog Synthesizer
The OB-6 desktop module is just as powerful and easy to use as its counterpart, the OB-6 Keyboard. The module has all of the same controls as the keyboard version and provides the same immediacy and ease of use. As with the OB-6 Keyboard, all parameters are at your fingertips, with full-sized knobs and switches and a comfortable, intuitive layout.
This desktop module delivers the same massive sound, classic Oberheim analog signal path, high-quality digital effects, and even a poly chain feature that pairs two OB-6s for twelve-voice polyphony.
Two Legends. One Instrument.A collaboration between designers Dave Smith and Tom Oberheim, the OB-6 combines the bold, vintage Oberheim sound with modern enhancements, such as studio-quality effects, a polyphonic step sequencer, and an arpeggiator.
Vintage SEM ToneThe OB-6 sound engine is inspired by the original SEM, featuring two discrete voltage-controlled oscillators per voice, a classic 2-pole state-variable filter, and voltage-controlled amplifiers, creating an authentic Oberheim tone.
Dual EffectsThe effects section offers studio-quality reverbs, delays, chorus, flangers, and recreations of Tom’s original phase shifter and ring modulator. True bypass keeps the analog signal path intact when effects are off.
X-Mod and Poly Step SequencingWith X-Mod and a polyphonic step sequencer, the OB-6 offers expanded tonal options and the ability to create sequences of up to 64 steps. The arpeggiator also syncs to an external MIDI clock for versatile control.
Easy to Program and PlayThe knob-per-function layout and live panel mode make programming straightforward, while its compact design is perfect for studios or on-the-go musicians.
