Mackie CR8BT: 8-Inch Bluetooth Monitors With Room-Filling Low End

The Mackie CR8BT is a pair of 8-inch powered studio monitors with Bluetooth, built around a large 8-inch woofer and a 0.75-inch silk-dome tweeter that together push deeper, louder low end than any compact desktop pair can manage. One active cabinet houses the amplifier and drives its passive partner, so a bigger stereo image sets up from a single power outlet. For the producer, streamer, or listener who wants a monitor pair that fills a real room, the CR8BT turns up the scale without giving up clarity.

The 8-Inch Advantage

The heart of the CR8BT is its 8-inch woofer, a driver large enough to move real air and reproduce bass guitar, kick drum, and cinematic low end that smaller cones roll off. Paired with a 0.75-inch silk-dome tweeter in a ported all-wood cabinet, it keeps highs detailed while the extra cone area fills a bedroom studio, a living room, or a content-creation space with authority. As with the rest of the line, one powered monitor drives its passive twin over a single included speaker cable.

Tune the Sound to Your Room

The CR8BT carries the same room-tuning tools that keep a bigger monitor honest. The Tone Control sweeps the voicing from warm to bright to tame a reflective room or wake up a dead one, while the Location Switch re-tunes the low end for open placement or a spot near a wall, where an 8-inch woofer can otherwise overload the bass. That control matters even more on a larger driver, where uncorrected placement turns extra output into muddy low end.

Connect Everything, Wired or Wireless

Bluetooth streaming brings reference tracks and playlists off a phone or laptop without a cable, and the rear panel adds balanced 1/4-inch TRS for an interface, unbalanced RCA for a mixer or turntable, and a 3.5-mm input for a computer. Up front, a 3.5-mm aux input and a headphone output let you plug a source in fast or monitor privately when the room needs to stay quiet.

Built to Look and Last the Part

An all-wood cabinet, brushed-metal-effect front, and signature green trim give the CR8BT the same studio-grade presence as its smaller siblings, scaled up for the larger enclosure. The rigid ported cabinet controls the extra low-frequency energy the 8-inch woofer produces, and the front-mounted controls stay within arm's reach whether the pair sits on stands, a desk, or a shelf.

Who the CR8BT Is For

Producers who want their mixes to translate with full low end, streamers and video creators scoring content in a dedicated space, and music lovers building a high-quality Bluetooth listening system reach for the CR8BT when a 5-inch pair is not enough. With an 8-inch woofer, wireless and wired inputs, and room-tuning controls, it is the monitor set for anyone whose sound needs to fill more than a desktop.
