Not sure if your dead MPC 2000's power supply is the problem or not? You can test it with a multimeter, while the unit is off & unplugged from the wall, you can pop out the glass fuse in the top corner near the smaller plug coming off the AC board. Put your multimeter in continuity mode and touch it to each end of the fuse. If it says the fuse is good, you know the power supply is the problem itself.
