This Hiwatt vintage 4x12" cabinet came to me in the mid-80s from the original owner, who bought it because it was the one used by Pete Townshend of The Who. It still has the original Celestion Greenback T1416 (8 Ohm) G12S speakers in it, which still perform fine. I have dragged this heavy box into and out of many vehicles and onto many stages and it has never let me down. It continues to produce that vintage British rock tone, particularly when driven by a vintage tube amp. It is road worn, but fully functional and damn near indestructible. It never got wet but has soaked up a lot of Rock'n'Roll.

The T1417 is basically the same speaker as the T1221 G12M apart from the 7oz smaller magnet. It has a little less bass, and a little less volume, with a slightly warmer mid range. Great for the studio or live, maybe unless you are playing Wembley Arena ;). The blonde front is also original, with no holes in the mesh.
