A fine violin. We believe this was made in Germany in the 1900's. The violin has had several repairs. The neck has been off of it. The pegbox has had repairs to all the tuner holes and the pegbox has been grafted to the neck. There are a few repaired top cracks: 2, along the neck, by the bass bar, another bass bar one a little further down, one from the bass side f-hole down. A small one by the bass side F-hole, one under the tailpiece and one next to the tailpiece. The back center seam looks to also have been repaired. We aren't sure of other repairs. The instrument plays easily and the violin produces a clear tone with nice projection. It is in very good condition overall and comes with 2 bows and a hard case.
