The Ibanez Talman bass definitely has one foot in the traditional field, while moving forward with a modern design.

The maple neck on this model is beefy, in contrast to the super slim feel of an Ibanez Soundgear. Vintage-style cloverleaf tuners work effortlessly with a smooth feel.

The PJ pickup combination offers a wide range of tones, from the funkier midrange of the bridge J pickup, to the beefier low end of the neck P version. These are both aided by an active EQ, with stacked controls for separate bass and treble cut/boost. The front set of stacked controls are a blend control and master volume.
