Vic Firth's PureGrit Drumsticks have a raw finish that helps players with sweaty hands keep their grip on the stick. The unfinished wood has a gritty, dry feel that won't start slipping halfway through a gig. Vic Firth 5B American Classic drumsticks are among the most popular stick ever made, with a weight and feel made for rock music and loud orchestral/wind band music. The teardrop tip makes it easy to go back and forth between rolls and articulate rhythms. Go ahead and wail away on those drums - the hickory construction can take it.
