Your eyes do not deceive you. Today we have a 1968 Gretsch Chet Atkins Country Gentleman Hollow Body Electric Guitar in very good, borderline good condition with an original Gretsch Hardshell Case. This instrument weighs in at a respectable 7lbs 14oz and comes in a Walnut Brown finish. This guitar has been fully refretted by our master luthier and comes with “Dobro” tuners - otherwise it is fully original - all original electronics and dampener have been restored. All hardware is original and has been cleaned of corrosion. There was a lot of binding repair done around the fingerboard and the body, looser areas have been reinforced, but what puts this guitar closer to the “good” distinction is the overall condition of the binding (see pics). The frets feel amazing and the guitar is very loud unplugged. It’s a “good one” as they say. Send us any questions you have!

Following the 1961 - 1963 model, the 6122 Country Gentleman sported one filter'tron and one super'tron pickup until 1970, when Gretsch switched back to using two filter'trons. This model was then renumbered to model 7670 in 1971.
