2016 Mark Campellone Standard 17”
Mark Campellone needs no introduction, but this one is a bit unique in that it has a striped macassar ebony theme throughout, including the head plate, tuner buttons, truss rod cover, fretboard, bridge, saddle, and tailpiece. It also has a Pete Biltoft floating pickup, which is a replacement/upgrade to the guitar.
Specs / Measurements

Condition / Setup Notes
The guitar overall is in great shape, presents very cleanly. There is the occasional finish check, and spare very minor marks you may find if looking for them. Just the slightest hints of fret wear. The strap button has been moved, and the original hole has been plugged in a way I find is unobtrusive. There are additional string grooves in the saddle top that are currently not in use. They were initially notched to provide different spacing for the floating pickup. There is some discoloration of the binding along the sides. Setup currently is nice, with just a touch of relief and string height from just above 4/64“ to just below 4/64” from bass to treble.
***
As with all Campellone guitars I’ve encountered, it’s very well-made and has a pleasing acoustic voice. I like the striped ebony theme with this one, and the maple is beautifully figured too. Just another great archtop guitar from the Campellone shop.
