I bought this late last year in my initial conquest of figuring out what tube mic I wanted to invest in the long run. Getting your hands on expensive microphones isn't always an easy move and requires a network of people who will have them readily available. A good friend of mine (and producer of some really esteemed metal bands) suggested I get the Slate ML-1 and try the emulations out a bit on some sessions until I found one I felt I leaned towards the most. Indeed that is what happened and almost immediately I realized it was a U67 I was seeking and this year I made the purchase. In all actuality this got used maybe 4-5 times total. It's an amazing mic, honestly it sounds kick a** and even without the emulations its a sweet sounding mic. Part of me doesn't want to let it go because of the versatility it poses but the reality is I can't walk into my storage closet and I need to get rid of whats not in actual dire need to be used. This hasn't seen its day this entire year. Not once. Hopefully this will be a good deal for someone who wants a clean like new microphone!
