Selling off some synthesizers I do not use frequently. In good condition, never gigged with, kept in non-smoking home studio. I meet buyers at the Dunkin parking lot at Cicero & Cermak. The Yamaha Motif is one of my favorite synthesizers. But I live in a tiny apartment and this has an extended 76 key synth-action keybed [I find myself using my Kurzweil instead because it has piano-style keys].
ANYWAYS, I'm selling off some of my music gear to make a little space. This keyboard has seen some things, but it's in generally good condition. I can give you a large collection of Motif sounds. There are 2 expansion slots, and you can load your own samples in it -- although it's a bit more laborious to use a floppy disk nowadays.

If you play in a gigging band, this doesn't cost $5000 like a Nord. It's reliable and still sounds great for all your basic bread and butter sounds: pianos, organs, basses, pads, strings, electric pianos -- even drums and hip hop sounds. It might be a little dated in the synth / dance area, but Yamaha builds quality instruments. Like all flagship synths from the 2000s, it has a sequencer and allows you to add your own samples.
