Ryoji Matsuoka is regarded as one of Japan's premier Luthiers. A truly beautiful guitar with a naturally finished Cedar top and gorgeous rosette. Deep, sweet sound with warm basses and clear trebles, great sustain and volume. Hand made in Japan in Matsuoka's workshop from high quality materials and modelled after the Jose Ramirez 1A.
The neck carve on this one is notable. Thin and wide with defined shoulders and a flat center. Very easy to play in the classical style. Some slight handling marks, faint scratches and tiny dings primarily on the back. Overall a top notch guitar with a very cool vibe that plays great, sounds great, and needs nothing.
