Here's an interesting instrument from the collection of a local Country and Western artist billed asTony Colt. Tony has passed so I'm moving his instruments.
This is an all original 1959 Gretsch 6119. The single pickup baby brother of the 6120.
This particular guitar was much loved and was played often. The Western Red finish has a patina with an amazing worn look only 65 years of handling could create.
The nut needs a bit of adjustment.
The pickguard has been lost to time.
The case is the RARE - Special ordered Cowboy Round-Up case with tooled leather border on top.
The electronics work.
I hate to see this one go, but time to pass it along
