Sitting at this drum set is like stepping into a time machine to 1966. This is a complete Premier "B55" outfit (with 22"x14" bass), plus 16"x16" floor tom, 12"x8" rack tom, and 14"x5.5" matching snare. It looks almost exactly the way it does in the 1966 Premier catalogue, with the red throne and all. All the hardware is complete and operational, with "Premier" engraved in the metal of each piece. Beech shells with birch reinforcing rings. These drums sound and feel amazing, from rock to jazz and all around the music spectrum.

The rack tom showed minor signs of getting wet. We cleaned it thoroughly and were able to remove most of the water stains on the interior of the shell. There's still some traces of water stains inside of the shell and some slight darker spots on the sparkle finish on the exterior. There is no rot or separation of plies. The other drums look spectacular, near new. The photos tell it like it is!

As much as I LOVE vintage American drums, I gotta say the Brit's were way ahead of us with their craftsmanship when they made these drums. The quality of the woodwork and edges is amazing.

These drums are standard "American" sizes in inches. They do not require metric heads. The original Premier heads are on all of the drum except the snare batter and both heads on the floor tom. Original Premier logo heads on the front and back of the bass drum. The heads on the floor tom are older Evans heads. They fit fine on the shell but they are a fairly tight fit in the metal hoops. All the other heads fit great.

All of the hardware in the photos is included. 2x straight cymbal stands, shell mounted cymbal holder, snare drum stand, hi-hat stand, bass drum pedal, throne, tom mount, Premier chrome cowbell with mount and original "British Made" Premier drum key. Also included are the original fiber cases (seen in photos), vintage drum method books, a set of claves, set of original Premier brushes. Cymbals are not included.

I can safely predict that you will NEVER get the opportunity to get your hands on such a clean and complete Premier drum set, in such a stunning finish from this era.
