Original Selmer Fiesta Red finish.
The last owner purchased the guitar in 1986 from the original owner in the UK and kept the newspaper ad where the guitar was described as Salmon colored . the original owner stated that the color you see here is the original finish that was on the guitar when he purchased it new in England. For those who are unfamiliar, Fender's UK distributor at this time was a company called Selmer. Due to the popularity of The Shadows' guitarist, Hank Marvin, who famously played a Fiesta Red Stratocaster, Selmer Music would have a number of Stratocasters painted Fiesta Red in the UK before they went out on display in retail guitar shops. This is one of those famous guitars. It has all of the correct features and markings and is a unique piece of both Fender and British guitar history.
