Designed with breathtaking Master Grade Exceptional Figured Koa from our private wood locker at the Martin Custom Shop and finished in an exquisite Toasted Burst finish, we are proud to present our exclusive Martin Custom Shop OM-41 model.

As one of only 24 Martin Custom Shop Expert Dealers worldwide, we have unfettered access to the Martin Custom Shop and their incredible world-renowned wood reserves. Empire Music Owner Joe Ravita has hand-selected these specific wood sets, and designed the instrument in conjunction with Martin Custom Shop Master Designer Jimmie Kleintop. The goal was to offer the finest sonic experience Martin has to offer with the highest quality wood sets on Earth.

Koa offers one of the most unique sonic experiences for guitarists.  The combination of breathy sweet tones matched with Martin’s ability to deliver a full bottom-end with plenty of warmth gives players the ability to deliver gorgeous tones while still keeping Martin’s trademark tone.  

Martin’s Master Grade “Exceptional Figured” Koa is some of the most sought after Koa in the world.  While it is certainly visually stunning, this koa is hand-selected to ensure it is the proper density with correct flexibility to deliver the most responsive and lush orchestra model tones.

If you have always wanted a Martin that will give you the sweetest koa tones, incredible response and classic Martin warmth, this instrument will be your holy grail!

The orchestra body style gives players an incredibly comfortable feel and world-class balance with excellent clarity.  Players will find the top to be very responsive which allows fingerstyle players to draw out beautiful complex tones and players using a pick will find many overtones with all of the different levels of pick attack.  The full bass response is met with a lively mids and a brisk top end that is crisp but not brittle.

To provide the most articulate tone and to maximize top-end output, we have selected ¼” scalloped bracing.  The slightly thinner bracing allows the top to have maximum flexibility which creates tons of tone and plenty of headroom.  This body shape with the ¼” bracing is the best match for the tonewood set.  This instrument is lively, reflects the player’s intentions based on playing attack and sounds beautiful and lush.

The final step was dressing this incredible instrument in a Toasted Burst finish that sets off all of the classic OM-41 cosmetic appointments.
