(NEW) Time for some mojo, straight from the manufacturer! We asked H&D to give us their Stage Worn treatment on one of our favorite models, the DM. Mark Dalton delivered, with a fair bit of relic treatment added to the top (finish checks and ware, dings, pick gauges) and the neck (finish removal, like a mini speed neck) all of which look uber-cool with the gloss sunburst finish on the top and the satin on the back/sides/neck.
The DM model is H&D's adaptation of the classic square-shouldered dreadnought, with a few construction tweaks that make it stand apart from the run of the mill offerings from large manufacturers. It has forward-shifted, scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing, a tighter radius to the top and back, a slightly enlarged sound hole and a Honduran rosewood bridge plate. It has maple body binding and a single band rosette. 1 23/32" nut with just under 2 1/4" string spacing at the saddle, long scale of course.
To complete the journey from Stage Worn to Stage Ready, we had H&D install a K&K Pure Mini pickup at the shop. It's ready to hit the road! Includes hard case.
