From another studio: "Through a Heritage 1073 or a Vintech 73, when you push the front end the mic has a VERy pushy midrange character a lot like a (don't laugh) a U67. The vocals for rock sit SO well in the mix. Even this cheap mic has a place in my locker and we use them all the time. At 5 feet from the front of a kick, it will punch you in the chest.
