Beard Jerry Douglas Signature Dobro "Blackie" 2023 - Gloss

I purchased the dobro online from The Guitar Sanctuary in Texas for $5590.00USD ($7649.36CAN)...you can see from the pic of the receipt that no tax was charged at the time of purchase, but over $727.70CAN tax was charged when it made it's way across the border from the US to Canada making the total paid for this instrument $8376.06CAN...

This dobro is equipped with something called a hipshot doubleshot bridge which allows the player to alternate between two different tunings at the flick of a lever. One may not want to change tunings in the middle of a tune although you could definitely do that...but most dobro players are familiar with open G and open D tunings...with this bridge you can alternate between those two tunings instantly without having to retune at all...like having two instruments. Locking tuners are also a nice touch. Included is a nice dobro capo, bar, and quality dobro strap...but more importantly also included is a Fishman Aura Acoustic imaging pedal ($519.99CAN on RedOne) as well as a Fishman Tonedeq pedal ($430.00CAN on Amazon)...when you're on Youtube do a search for "Jerry Douglas Gear" and you'll find a video of Jerry Douglas explaining how he uses both of these pedals as part of his rig...

It's in immaculate condition save a microscopic little tic on the back that you wouldn't ever notice unless you were looking for it with a magnifying glass. It's been all polished up and it's currently in it's hard shell case in the shipping box with no less than 3 Boveda humidipaks inside the case to keep the humidity at an optimum level...ready to ship at a moment's notice...
