Quint Guitars Esquire #04 2023 - Daphne Blue

This is a lovingly made and finished "partscaster" with premium parts and setup. I started assembling and finishing guitars in 2022 and this is the first I am putting for sale. I truly love this guitar and it sounds and plays fantastic but I'm more excited about building more guitars and refining them than I am about keeping them long-term.

This was modeled after a 60's esquire. I love single-pickup guitars and I wanted to make one that was a super functional machine. Though it only has a single pickup, it is wired with a three-way switch which honestly makes the single pickup sound like two. The three positions are:

- Straight pickup to jack (loud!)

- Pickup with volume control

- Pickup with both volume and tone

If you crank the tone all the way down this lets you toggle between a "lead" and "rhythm" sound. With the tone down 75% of the way on the first position, run through an octave or germanium fuzz, this thing gets an amazing sustaining tone even with its lone single coil pickup.

This thing is super light with a wonderful pine body and maple neck.

The body is routed with normal telecaster routes, so if you wanted to add a normal neck pickup configuration it would be very simple. But why? I think the simplicity of this guitar will make any player happy.
