(NEW) Another intriguing little box! We've been ordering variations of the "Bourgeois Blues" ever since we've been a dealer for the brand. Many a slope D and OM has come our way with the all-mahogany treatment, and we've even expanded it on occasion to all-koa or all-walnut! This L-DBO, though, hits us with its combination of form, function and fun.
The top, back and sides are mahogany with subtle but consistent figuring. The wood really pops under the dark stain. The appointments definitely elevate the concept of "all hog": Fully bound in ivoroid with ivoroid pick guard, bone pins and saddle, Waverly tuners with ivoroid buttons... it's a "tuxedo," sure, but it's a lot less uptown and a little more downtown.
For specs, we have a 1 23/32" nut, 2.2" saddle spacing and short scale. Handsome Ziricote fingerboard and bridge. Mahogany neck with comfy mod "V" neck profile and satin finish. Includes TKL hard case.
The cure for the blues? Play some blues on this Bourgeois Blues!
