Here for sale we have a Taylor 612CE Special Edition Grand Concert electro-acoustic guitar in Koi Blue finish. Made in the USA in 2001, this guitar features a Sitka Spruce top, Maple back and sides, Tropical Mahogany neck and 20 fret West African Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. A set of Gold Grover sealed tuning machines are featured along with a Taylor/Fishman Prefix Stereo Blender System with a under-saddle pickup and shoulder-mounted preamp. 

The Tropical Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with Taylor's profile feeling somewhat similar to a C shape whilst remaining on the slim side for an acoustic guitar. This results in a supremely playable instrument that feels manageable in all registers. The West African Ebony fingerboard is luxurious under the fingers, and with its 15" radius is practical for both chord playing and melodic lines. The familiar lines of the Grand Concert body shape are comfortable in both standing and seated positions, whilst the cutaway enhances access to the upper frets.

The acoustic voice of the Taylor 614CE is rich, well balanced and loud. The Maple back and sides produce a punchy and responsive midrange as well as soaring defined treble detail. The Sitka Spruce top provides a balanced, seasoned tone with plenty of low end power, warm tonality, whilst has a naturally loud volume, which can be controlled by the player's touch and approach. The Taylor Prefix Stereo Blender system captures the natural voice of the instrument perfectly, the waist mounted control panel offers complete control of your tone, whilst the simple control layout offers hassle free tone adjustments making this guitar not only a beautiful looking instrument but a reliable, functional gig ready partner.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light scratching is present across the front face, only visible under direct light from certain angles. 

Neck: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the neck and fingerboard present minimal signs of past use.

Body: Overall very good condition. Light scratching is present to the front and rear face, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the front face lower bout. Two small indentations are present above the control panel on the bass side waist.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
