Built for players who want boutique craftsmanship, premium tonewoods, and modern playability, this MGbass Africa Burl 6 Custom is a high-end custom 6-string bass with a striking natural look and a powerful, versatile voice.

This instrument features a beautiful Buckeye Burl top over a Mahogany body, creating a unique visual character with warm, rich tonal response. The special body shape offers excellent comfort and easy access to the highest frets, making it ideal for demanding players who need both performance and ergonomics.

The neck-through construction provides outstanding sustain, stability, and smooth upper register access. The neck is made from 3-piece Maple, paired with a gorgeous Birdseye Maple fingerboard for a fast, articulate feel. With 24 jumbo frets, a 34.25” scale, and a 52mm nut width, this bass delivers a comfortable playing experience with excellent string definition across all six strings.

Equipped with Bartolini dual coil pickups and a Bartolini 3-band preamp, this bass offers a wide tonal palette for virtually any musical style. Controls include volume with push/pull active-passive, balance, bass/mid/treble EQ, powered by a 9V battery.

Premium hardware includes a Hipshot bridge with 18mm string spacing, Gotoh tuners, black hardware, Dunlop strap buttons, and D’addario strings (.032”–.130”). Finished in a smooth Natural Satin, this bass feels as good as it looks.
