This is where it all started for Lab12. Our love for music, for high-end audio and our exploration for many years, gave us a huge challenge when designing a headphone preamplifier that met our demand to deliver a faultless sonic signature. Dealing with the sensitive signal output and transforming it into a true high-end audio headphone amplifier is not a task that everyone would dare to explore, but for Lab12 it is one we could not resist.
High-end audio headphone listening offers one of the most coveted and intimate musical listening experiences available, yet not many headphone amplifiers on the market are able to deliver that experience adequately and to the satisfaction of true music lovers.
Therefore, we decided to follow a different and more challenging path by designing Lab12 Hpa as a full blooded OTL tube headphone amplifier with the utmost transparent, musical and emotionally engaging heart.
And we didn’t just stop there! Hpa is not only a fully enclosed state-of-the-art headphone system which includes a high-grade USB DAC, but it’s also a fully operational high-quality preamplifier with multiple inputs, including USB that can form the heart of any high-end play back system.
