The popular 6-string model "TRB-JP2" was created in response to the requests of John Patitucci, a renowned bass player known for his work with jazz greats such as Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter, and Herbie Hancock.

The four-ply laminated body (figured maple, ash, alder, and maple) is paired with a bolt-on maple neck. The scale length has been increased from 34 inches to 35 inches, and the fret count has been increased from 24 to 26 frets, further enhancing the potential for super playability. This model also achieves John Patitucci's request for improved intonation and a crisper sound in the bass.

To counter the increased tension on the neck due to the scale-up, a volute has been added to the back of the headstock (a design that adds thickness to the back of the headstock and neck base to increase strength), and the neck has been veneer-finished with quilted maple for increased strength. The tuning pegs also feature resin knobs, and the string posts have been changed from the conventional brass to aluminum for lighter weight, all of which contribute to weight balance.

Equipped with an Active 5 Control System that allows for a wide range of tonal expression, and featuring custom-made, original low-noise double-coil pickups using Alnico V, this 6-string model embodies John Patitucci's ideals, delivering a clear sound image even when playing chords.

The condition of the guitar is excellent, with only a slight tarnish on the gold hardware and some light string marks on the pickup cover. There's no noticeable damage, just light polishing scratches. There's no fret wear or clogging, and the truss rod and electrical system all function perfectly.

This is a piece that is hard to find used.

It is also recommended as an introductory 6-string guitar for adults!
