Swisher Handmade Machine Semi-Hollow Body 2024 - Zebrano

This is a right handed semi-hollow (chambered) body electric guitar made from cherry with a Zebrano (zebrawood) top and control cavity cover. It’s finished in a water based polyurethane clear gloss top coat. The body is 1.75 inches thick and was hand shaped on a sander with a ¼ round edge all the way around. The chambered body gives this guitar a reduced weight (3.2 pounds) and allows for the custom sound hole to show off the upper chamber. It’s a string through body with a HipShot chrome hardtail bridge. The hardware is also all chrome. The pickup configuration is a humbucker in the neck position and in the bridge. I wound these pickups myself and they measure out as follows; the neck pickup has an ALNICO 5 magnet and reads at 8.93k and the bridge pickup also has an ALINCO 5 magnet and reads at 11.7k. The neck pickup sounds pretty clean by itself, and the bridge pickup is warm and gritty. The electronics are wired with a volume pot for each pickup and a three way selector switch. The neck is 22 frets and bolted on with recessed chrome ferrules for a sleek look. The neck is cherry with a 10” radius wenge fretboard and custom turquoise position markers and turquoise side dots. The truss rod is a dual action spoke type and located at the heel end. My necks are all hand carved and the profile is considered a “C” shape. This one measures .814” (20.67mm) at the 1st fret and .879” (22.33mm) at the 12th fret. The frets are Medium Nickel-Silver .084" wide by .039" high. The tuners are chrome HipShot staggered inline. The nut was hand shaped from bone.

My guitars are set up to play with great action. The frets have been leveled, crowned and polished. The string height at the 1st fret is .015” and at the 12th fret it’s .060”. You’ll notice how smooth they are right away.
