— About us
We build handcrafted guitars, basses, and accessories decorated with a variety of artistic techniques. Each finish is made by hand, with techniques ranging from metallic leaf to oil painting and hand-drawing.
While we remain strongly connected to artistic innovation, we don’t neglect tradition. We also offer classic relic nitro finishes, that give guitars a worn and fascinating look. Faithful replicas of legendary instruments, like John Mayer’s Black1 and Jimi Hendrix’s Monterey, are also available for those who want to relive the legacy of these great artists through instruments with a unique soul.
We craft each instrument by hand, one at a time, in our workshop in Monticello Conte Otto, near Vicenza, Italy.
We only use the finest woods, selected for their acoustic qualities and natural beauty, along with high-quality components, to ensure a pure, deep, and richly-nuanced sound and an impeccable playability.
We cut our bodies and necks with a CNC machine, which guarantees millimetric precision and compatibility with all accessories on the market.
We use top-quality paints specifically designed for lutherie, enhancing the wood's sonic qualities.
Our relic finishes are made drawing inspiration from the best vintage instruments, creating a realistic and refined effect.
Our pickups are handmade by our luthier Marco Ferrari. They are fully hand-wound following either vintage specifications or your custom requests.
With Franchin Guitars, you’re not just purchasing a musical instrument: you’re investing in a piece of authentic Italian craftsmanship, made to last over time and to accompany you on every musical journey with uncompromising quality.
