This vintage Technics double cassette deck is the one to get! Absolutely killer sounding unit, it’s total studio secret weapon as well as an awesome household stereo unit!

This one rules, it sounds so good going both in and out. The sound quality of the outputs coming off of the tape is fantastic, and the preamps coming in off of the record inputs is seriously super incredible. You can use this just as a studio preamp with some creative cabling! It’s also fantastic for making mix tapes, and one off special one-off tapes for smaller bands. You can make tapes of any music you’ve made, from one-off tape copies of your professional album all the way to a tape version of a spirited iPhone voice memo that you’ve always liked. Possibilities are endless. The tape machine is a powerful tool in today’s complicated world of music mediums, and there’s something to be said for making music on a tape that only exists on one tape somewhere. Makes it a little more special.

Both decks play and ffw perfectly. The rewind on both decks has a bit of trouble, but it sounds like the day it was made. The rewind will work on certain tapes that aren't too long, but the fast forward is very strong on both decks and if you want to rewind you can turn the tape around and fast forward and it's the same as rewinding. It looks great, you would swear it was almost new despite being 35-40 years old. This was a top level unit back in the day when it came out, killer unit!
