The 509, a highly versatile guitar within the PRS lineup, utilizes 5 pickups to produce 9 distinctive and melodious tones. It features a foundation of 5 single coil pickups, with the four outer coils grouped together as humbuckers. With the inclusion of an inventive switching system comprising a 5-way blade switch and two mini toggle coil-tap switches, musicians can access a wide range of humbucking, single-coil, and blended sounds.
This exceptional instrument boasts unique characteristics such as an extended 25.25" scale length, enhancing the upper harmonic brilliance, and the PRS Patented Tremolo, Gen III, which contributes to remarkable sustain.
