I'm listing this as a parts machine but it does playback. However, when you play a tape, transfer it right away and don't stop it. There is no rewind and when you stop it, the tape doesn't retract so you basically cash the tape when you stop. It's the classic, transfer it and trash it. The top and bottom have seen much rack rash. I used it to convert ADAT from my Yamaha 02r to 8 line outs for surround monitoring.
Not great shape but maybe you are tech savvy?
