The Rostock is another part of the expanding Leibniz Binary Subsystem which connects the other Leibniz modules using the data ribbon connectors at the back. It functions as a digital version of a BBD delay or analog shift register. It consists of a chain of memory cells passing bits to each other every clock cycle like a data pipeline.
The delay length is variable from 1 to 64 stages (with optional looping and scrambling). The Rostock can even control video signals because the bits can change at extreme rates (up to 2MHz).
- Leibniz Binary Subsystem component
- Shift register / delay memory of up to 64 stages
- Voltage controlled length
- Looping and scrambling
- Optional individual clock input to each bit line
- Eurorack synth compatible
