Gretsch Broadkaster “Name Band” Outfit 13/16/22 1950’s - Blue Pearl

Here’s a really sweet Gretsch Broadkaster “Name Band” outfit, (minus the snare) in a fantastic Midnight Blue Pearl wrap! Previous owner who is very knowledgeable on vintage drums figured this to be a '58 set, which may be true of the floor tom, but the rack tom and bass have no silver sealer, indicating pre-1954.

3ply Shell, no silver sealer, no extra holes. It looks like a very small repair was made to seam of inner ply. Solid and presents no issues. See pics.

Wrap is in very nice shape for age. Minimal fade, seam is tight, no major blemishes

Bearing edges look good, hardware is present and all original including hoops, rods, lugs and double T muffler. Chrome is very good, some scratches and light pitting spots consistent with age. Clip mount has largest chrome blemish. Not bad at all.

3ply Shell, silver sealer, no extra holes. Wrap is very nice for age, minimal fading, seam is tight, no major blemishes.

Edges look good, hardware is present and all original, including hoops, rods, lugs, legs, brackets and double T mufflers. Chrome is very good, light scratches and pitting spots.

3ply Shell, no silver sealer, no extra holes. Does have the necessary 6 holes to install the Pratt muffler which is included, complete, and in nice condition. Wrap is very nice for age, minimal fade, seam is tight. A few small blemishes down to wood, very small. Rail consolette is present and functions, chrome shows wear and tear. T Rods and claws are all original and present, very good condition. One T is bent. Reversible spurs are original and in good shape. Lugs are original and all accounted for, chrome is overall good. Hoops are different from each other and show some wear. I think the original is the wider one without the inlay. Inlay on other hoop is much greener, different looking pearl pattern. Two cymbal arm brackets are present, original and in good condition. One is missing T screw to lock in L arm (two included, missing top wing nuts.)

Overall this kit is in great shape, an above average player. Aside from the one bass hoop, you’ve got all original parts where it counts. Heads fit just slightly snug, mostly on 13. All drums tune up well and sing! Comes with period correct wrench/multi tool!
