About This Listing

Limited edition 67 reissue flying V recently set up at Charlie's guitar in Dallas Tx. A very rare ebony fretboard with original hard shell case. was some sort of special edition with mirrored pickguard and truss rod cover. Case needs some attention missing lock but will include replacement part just need to have installed. Plays and sounds amazing, the guitar tech at Charlie's wanted to make me an offer on it before he worked on it for me but I decided to keep in my collection. It's hard to part with but its time!

The pickguard had a small crack in it so i had it removed and replaced with an original truss rod cover and an aftermarket pickguard. I went with a different color because i like it. Included is the original pickguard and 2 extra truss rod covers one white and the original mirrored one.

Product Overview
Gibson returned the Flying V to its roots in 1990 after experimenting with numerous aspects of the design throughout the '80s. Eschewing the offset knobs and beveled edges from the previous decade, Gibson returned to one of the earliest standard production versions of the Flying V from 1967 for inspiration, using a more traditional triangle-knob layout, and plain mahogany body woods. The Flying V was rebranded in 2003 to the Flying V Factor X.
