In celebration of the 125th anniversary of Gretsch, and a legacy that has lasted five decades, the tradition of the anniversary model continues! Combining time-tested Gretsch elements from the past with new, modern features, the 125th Anniversary G6118T model has a gloss urethane ultra rare jaguar tan finish w/a metallic gold back and sides. The body is made of three-ply laminated maple for the utmost resonance and tone!
The three-piece maple neck has a tapered heel and ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl Neo Classic thumbnail inlays. The black headstock has a commemorative chrome plate (Anniversary 1883-2008). Other features include dual TV Jones PowerTron pickups, three-position pickup switch, three-position master tone switch, G-arrow knobs, metallic gold pickguard, deluxe Sperzel locking tuners, Adjusto-Matic bridge and Bigsby B6C vibrato tailpiece.
This is a great collectable guitar. The rare color maked this very desirable. The playability with low action and classic tone makes it a sure winner.
