Reynolds Regent (Ohio Band Instruments) Bb Trumpet SN 13498. Rich harmonics and tone. Instrument fully restored with polished silver, new water key corks, new valve felts and corks and new top cap felts. Plays well with open feel. Comes with King 7c Mouthpiece and original case. Professionally cleaned and sanitized.
Historical note: Reynolds, Roth and Scherl established Ohio Band Instrument Co. (April 1935) to make band instruments and F.A. Reynolds Co. (November 1935) for making professional instruments. Shared factory space for both companies was leased in early 1936.
Free to experiment with instrument design and manufacturing techniques on his own terms, Reynolds quickly moved to create instruments "that were rapidly recognized for superior workmanship and acoustical properties" [Richard Dundas, Twentieth Century Brass Musical Instruments in the United States, p.59].
