Playing a Gibson Les Paul Junior that has only one pickup is a statement! At the same time, a very conscious decision for the one great sound that has so much more to offer than many others have ever been able to do. In addition, a reduction to the essentials: a single Dog-Ear P-90 pickup, a volume and a tone control, and that's it. Extremely spartan equipment, but that is precisely what makes this unique guitar so appealing! A guitar that challenges its player, but also rewards him with inimitable tones! It is not for nothing that the Gibson Les Paul Junior is used by well-known artists in Blues and Rock music to this day.
And this impressive reissue of a Gibson Les Paul Junior 1957 from the Gibson Custom Shop couldn't be better! One-piece body made of mahogany, plus a mahogany neck with a 57s chunky C-shape and a "hide glue" rosewood fingerboard. The Custom Soapbar P-90 pickup produces that inimitable Vintage crunch sound that is addicting! It has lost none of its magic since the 1950s and is still the first choice for many musicians today because of its ability to stand out in any band mix. The compensated Gibson wraparound bridge also guarantees fast and direct response.
The classic "TV Yellow" finish of the Gibson Les Paul Junior 1957 Reissue was subjected to an elaborate Ultra Light Aging in the Murphy Lab, which underlines the authentic Vintage character of this guitar in an impressive way. Minimal lacquer checking, the finest, barely visible hairline cracks as well as a subtle hardware patina. Treated like this, you will compare this masterpiece from the Murphy Lab compare with the very best originals!
