THORN Brass Knuckle 2 for Wound-G - Replacement bridge for Jazzmaster/Jaguar/Mustang - Polished or Aged

Brand new and finally available - the Thorn Brass Knuckle 2 replacement bridge for Jazzmaster/Jaguar/Mustang guitars with traditional "thimble" bridge mounting. Designed by the Fender Custom Shop's first Principal Master Builder - Ron Thorn.

Based off the original 1-pc. compensated Thorn Brass Knuckle saddle for Tele-style bridges, the Brass Knuckle 2 features a 1-pc. brass saddle with compensated slots to provide accurate intonation, improved performance, and excellent tone.

Per Leo's original intent, the Brass Knuckle 2 rocks or pivots in the factory thimbles already installed in your body for a quick drop-in installation. No need to extract your existing thimbles, drill out the body, or install new thimbles. Simply remove the strings, remove your existing bridge, drop in the BK2, restring, set the action and the intonation.

The solid brass saddle mounted directly to the steel base plate creates a vibration-free assembly. No individual moving parts, no springs, no nonsense - just a simple machine designed to eliminate so many of the quirks found on the originals. This increase in mass and reduction of moving parts is a proven and sought-after combination, not available as an aftermarket component until now.

The string slots are deep enough to keep the strings in place even during aggressive strumming and the precision calculated individual intonation-peak within each slot ensures accurate intonation for all standard string gauges with a WOUND-G string: 10-50, 11-52, 12-54, etc. with Wound G. (A Brass Knuckle 2 for Plain G is also available in another listing).

The lack of flanges and individual saddle intonation screws means the strings have nothing to hang-up on causing tuning issues. The machined string slots are designed to even work with Bigsby-loaded tail-pieces with severe string break-angle over the bridge. The chrome plated steel base's footprint matches that of your existing bridge for a clean aesthetic.

Brass Knuckle 2 Bridge - Drop-in replacement bridge for all Fender and aftermarket bodies with vintage-style body mounted thimbles on 2-7/8" centers. (Will not work with Tune-O-Matic loaded bodies). This bridge rocks/pivots in the factory installed thimbles just as Leo Fender intended. (Thimbles are not included)

For use with 7-1/4", 9-1/2" or 10" radius fretboards and common string gauges with Wound G-strings: 10-50, 11-52, 12-54, etc with Wound G-strings (A Plain G version is also available) - Right-Handed Only
