Product Overview
Starting with limited, short run guitars in the 1990s for the Japanese market, the Gibson Custom Shop '68 Les Paul Custom Reissue has essentially been in production from 1999 straight through to today, with minor variances in hardware and specifications and different finishes being introduced and discontinued over the years. The Guitar Center-exclusive "Tri-Burst" guitars are among the most common, and have a slightly thinner neck profile than the rest of these guitars.

Most '68 Les Paul Custom Reissues make use of the '57 Classic pickups, mahogany body and neck, and an ebony fretboard. It is important, however, to note the specs on any individual listing and contact the seller with any questions you may have as to hardware, year of production, etc.
