Peavey Bass made in the USA from 2000 with a brand new hard shell case.

NO RETURNS ON THIS BASS, PLEASE READ. Needs work, the truss rod is inoperable. This bass is functional but the neck is a ski slope! Lots of relief. The 5/32" truss rod nut turns but it does nothing to the neck. Some day in the future I'll remove the fretboard and replace the truss rod then increase the asking price. For now you can buy the bass at a HUGE discount if you're so inclined to fix the truss rod. -ALSO- One tuning machine tab is loose. The tuner gear and post is stable and fully functional, only the end tab is loose.

This Peavey Foundation 2000 bass that's fully functional (with a ski slope neck) and it sounds very very awesome! This is a bass that has been played for nearly 25 years so of course it shows signs of wear. That being said the body has remarkably few small cosmetic nicks, dings, dents and scratches. These tiny bits of relic in no way affect the function, feel or playability of the bass. The truss rod needs to be replaced. I will get around to the truss rod but I just have so much other work that takes precedence that it could be 12-18 months until I get to it.

The electronics cavity was a bit of a mess. Somebody got in there and jacked it up. I redid the poor solder joints and I organized the wires with some zip ties too.

Foundation 2000 was the final version of a near 20 year old bass. Released in 2000 they were only made available on a limited run until 2002. The fret work is perfect, the hardware is high quality and the weight is only 8 pounds 11 ounces. While you will find, with a bit of searching, Peavey Foundations for sale these Foundation 2000's are quite rare especially the 5 strings. The 2000 has a longer horn than the regular Foundation and it produces striking results.
