FEATURES

Gain 1 & 2

The V4 Kraken guitar amp has two channels. Gain 1 is a slightly more "vintage" British inspired gain sound. Gain 2 is tighter in the low end with a sharper midrange character and, of course, more drive.

Three band equalizer

Powerful bass, mid and treble controls to shape your sound. These also have an effect on gain character and drive levels – just like in any tube guitar amp.

Reverberation

The lush-sounding digital reverb gives you ambience galore. Set it low for a subtle sense of spaciousness, or max it out for washed-out, splashy fullness! Reverb is footswitchable using a TRS cable (sold separately).

Two-note technology

Two Notes Audio Engineering The DynIR Virtual Cabinet technology built into Torpedo is built into the Kraken. The Cab Sim XLR makes it easy to take your Victory virtual speakers anywhere.

Serial effects loop

Placed between the preamp and the power amp. Run your time-based effects here for maximum clarity.

Balanced line output and headphone output

Send direct feed to a separate speaker simulator, front of house, or wherever you choose. Can be used with or without a speaker connected. The built-in headphone output makes silent practice quick and easy.

9 V DC power output

Want to power up extra pedals and stick them to your board? We have included a center-negative 9V DC output which will provide a maximum of 500mA. This is more than enough for the vast majority of analog drives, fuzzes and delays etc.

VRC – Valve Response Circuit

The idea behind this little piece of circuitry is to mimic what a "resonance" or "kick" (other adjectives are available!) control does in the power amp of a tube amp. So with the V.R.C(™) circuit you get closer to what a tube power section should feel like, but in a small amp you can throw it in your backpack and still get up to 180 watts of power !

TWO-NOTE TECHNOLOGY

We've teamed up with the incredibly talented folks at Two Notes Audio Engineering to bring their incredible technology into our V4 Kraken Guitar Amp.

Right out of the box, you get access to six presets created by Victory and Two Notes artist (and Kraken collaborator) Rabea Massaad. These were specially created by Rabea for the V4 Kraken guitar amp. There are ten Victory virtual cabinets included with the amp, and these can be accessed by plugging the V4 Kraken guitar amp into your computer, via Torpedo Remote (downloadable for free from the Two notes website) – this is where you get access to power amp, rooms, studio-grade EQ and audio amplifier modes.

THE HISTORY OF V4 AMP VALVES!

The V4 amps have interesting tubes, to be precise 3 CV4014 and 1 EC900. The CV4014s were manufactured in 1981 at the Mullard factory in England, then stored in an air-conditioned atmosphere deep underground, the depot was part of a Cold War nuclear bunker! They stayed there until we decided to design products from them!

The EC900s were manufactured by E.I (Elektronska Industrija) in the former Yugoslavia under license from Phillips and Mullard, they were produced to an incredibly high standard, so much so that we included a 2 year warranty on the V4 amps .

THE V4 KRAKEN UPDATE

The Kraken V4 amp was launched in 2021, then in 2022 we updated it with a headphone output and a valve response circuit (VRC), which was timed with the launch of the V4 Copper, the V4 Jack and V4 Sheriff.
