The Yamaha FGX800C is a traditional Western cutaway acoustic-electric derived from the FG800 platform. It combines a solid spruce top with nato/okoume back and sides, scalloped bracing, and Yamaha SYSTEM66 electronics with an SRT piezo pickup.

The cutaway gives players easier access to the upper frets while retaining the familiar feel of a full-size acoustic. The 25 9/16-inch scale, 43mm nut width, 11mm string spacing, and walnut fingerboard provide a straightforward playing setup for strumming, songwriting, lessons, rehearsals, and general acoustic work.

For amplified playing, the SYSTEM66 system includes a volume control, 3-band EQ, tuner, and mid-frequency control, along with a LINE OUT connection. That makes the FGX800C easy to take from unplugged practice to rehearsal or live performance.
