The Erebus RE is the re-issue of Dreadbox's most iconic synthesizer, the Erebus V1. It's Eurorack compatible, with snappy envelopes, USB powered, and with a more compact format.
In the beginning there was only Chaos, Night, dark Erebus, and deep Tartarus. The Earth, the Air and Heaven had no existence. But of Night were born Aether and Day, whom she conceived and bore from union in love with dark Erebus...
Features:
- Full analog synth, faithful reproduction of the 1st Erebus
- Can be used as a standalone unit or as a Eurorack module, 42HP sized
- USB-powered for maximum portability and energy efficiency
- 2 x VCOs with the ability to work paraphonically
- 2 x waveforms per VCO and Hard sync function
- Separate glide controls for each VCO
- 2 pole Dreadbox Low Pass Filter
- OTA VCA
- Lo-fi delay
- 1 x ADSR envelope and an AR amp envelope, improved from the original version
- 1 x wide-range LFO
- 18 x patch points to interact with Eurorack gear
Differences between V1 and RE:
- Enclosure's shape is slightly changed to a perfect rectangular
- LFO Depth patch changed to PW
- RES patch that had the ability to control either the resonance or the VCA is now only dedicated to VCA
- Everything else is EXACTLY the same. Nothing has been changed in the schematic, the quality or the overall sound. If you compare V1 with RE, they sound exactly the same.
